Experience the beauty of the Southern
Appalachian Mountains on your horse

Ever wanted to take your horse and trailer to the mountains of Western North Carolina and feel safe and comfortable riding and camping, but were unsure where to go and did not feel safe riding alone?

The Pisgah National Forest in Western North Carolina includes more than 510,000 acres with hundreds of miles of horse trails, old logging roads, and railroad grades to explore. The Dupont State Forest contains more than 10,000 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. This State Forest has over 80 miles of trails and roads with four major waterfalls and five lakes to be enjoyed on horseback.

Tell us where you would like to ride or let us plan the trip for you. We will meet you at a convenient location; take you to the camping site and camp with you. Then we will saddle up and guide you through some of the most beautiful scenery in the Eastern United States. We will ride all day or take a short ride and head back to camp. At night we’ll sit around a warm fire to tell stories and plan our ride for the next day. We’ll camp and ride with you to make this a memorable and exciting trip.

We also offer guided day rides into the Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest for those who have their own lodging and horse boarding.

We provide guided horseback fishing trips for you and your horse into the more remote sections of the South Mills River and Bradley Creek areas of the Pisgah National Forest. We know these streams very well, and can show you where the big ones hide.

If you prefer backcountry camping, we will pack your gear and food on our pack horses, locate the perfect camping site, and camp with you. We can make recommendations on equipment and food choices for backcountry camping ahead of time that can make your trip even more enjoyable.
